“Prepping” is all-the-buzz these days. All over television, conspiracy sites, prophecy sites and of course the Mormons live a life of ‘prepping’ perpetually. But for the real Kingdom-minded believer, a prepper’s mindset cannot be found as an example of Christian living; AKA the Kingdom Lifestyle, or culture.
However, there is a concept in the Bible that is similar- One based in LOVE and wisdom, not fear. The concept is mentioned several times in the Word related to wisdom and knowledge rather than preparing for the unknown; dependence on God, not the government. Worldly provisions are of no value without Spiritual preparedness. You can visit our “downloads page” for all the information you will ever need.
Waking up and having a Heart-On-Fire for the Return of the Christ is the first step!
This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Ephesians 5:14
“Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.” 2 Corinthians 3:3
“And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?” Luke 24:32
And let us do so with light, not fear:
“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God,to comfort all who mourn, 3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.” Isaiah 61–
All the host of heaven awaits the return of our Lord. The things people are discussing lately are not new ideas to the Church, they are just topics that we have forgotten about or shied away from.
Let us not just prepare ourselves physically. Let us wake up and empower all of the “Nehemiah’s” in the Body of Christ with Hearts on Fire for Truth. We must rebuild the walls of the Church and this Country and pray for redemption instead of judgment with a mission statement of “Awakening the multitudes to Jesus, the Christ and empowering them for revolutionary spiritual growth”. By spreading a movement in the Church to unite believers in love under the headship of our Lord, we believe we will impact America and the World towards the greatest Awakening ever seen in modern day history, and we realize that “The Time Is Now”.
Until recently, these topics were taboo. The Church was not ready (at large) to discuss these Truths. But more and more people every day are waking up at an unprecedented level… to the point that you can’t go in a gun store or gun show without seeing that everyone is talking about it. So I think it is important that we all understand that we are not alone- even if people don’t talk openly about it, but we should. The pastors and elders of olden days were the type of people that built this country- they had all the information. Today, nothing could be further from the truth.
The main reason the churches don’t have these conversations is because they are not equipped to do so. But God is raising up individuals and groups who ARE able to do so. And that is why we built this website- to provide the tools for those leaders who God put something on their hearts but they just aren’t sure what to do or where to find the best information. Because there ar a million places on the internet to find non-Biblical information about sustainable living. But not very many with a Biblical perspective/ World View.
We hear every day that there is cause for alarm regarding earthquakes, or solar flares, or any number of natural disasters. And of course we hear about the ‘fiscal cliff’ every year that it is time to switch political parties. But what about the REAL causes for alarm in this Christian Nation:
Cause for alarm:
- There is not one county in the U.S. where Christianity is on the increase.
- There are a higher percentage of believers in Africa than in Washington & Oregon.
- 50% of Evangelical churches didn’t have a single conversion in the last year.
- 14% of churches are currently stagnant in their growth.
- 2% of churches nationally are growing by conversion growth.
- Eight churches a day close their doors.
- The life statistics of those who go to church are the same as those who do not attend church (i.e. marriage, divorce, addictions & money).
- 12% of Christians give finances on a regular basis, on average Christians give 2% of their income.
- The U.S. has the largest Buddhist Temple in the world located in Boulder, CO.
- The U.S. has the world largest Muslim training center in New York.
- The U.S. has the world’s largest Jewish population.
- The U.S. has the eighth largest Hindu population.
- 411 Americans converted to Islam in the last 24 hours.
- 872 people converted to Mormonism in the last 24 hours.
You see, as our society ‘collapses’ in regard to the Principles of God, it is only a matter of time until society collapses as a whole in this country- maybe it is six months and maybe it is six years. The Principles God gave us are not for ‘a greedy guy-in-the-sky’ who gets His jollies from being ‘worshipped’. The words in the Bible are for our own protection and provision by our Creator. When we ignore them, we are like a child who doesn’t believe their parent’s advice in regard to jumping off the roof. Again this is not something new, many have been warning us for generations that this day would come if we (America) did not repent. But it is not too late, it is not time to run for the hills- It is time to stand up for our God and Country. But WHILE we are standing up against sin and against tyranny, let us look at a couple Scripture references:
Deuteronomy 22:4 says, ”Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.”
Also chapter 32 verse 38 says, ”Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.”
Let us take a few verses of Proverbs for its Wisdom:
Proverbs 6:6-8: Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.
Proverbs 21:20: In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has.
Proverbs 22:3: A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
Proverbs 30:25: Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer.
I think what I gather out of everything the most by seeing the questions in church and comments on the internet is that everyone is just wondering, “what should I do?” or even “where do I start?”
To that I say, “start where you are with what you have”. Find everything in your house that has value and put it somewhere that you know where it will always be. Preferably somewhere that is easy to grab if you had to leave in a hurry. That is why I LOVE bags. Junk drawers are not a part of life for the spiritually and physically prepared.
This however is more about changing habits and lifestyles than storing up stuff. And it is hard to do that alone. That is why I propose that God, in His foreknowledge, is placing things on the hearts of groups of individuals all over the world- especially in America because we are going to be challenged the most since we have been so blessed for so long. And there are so few Christians in America whose hearts are on fire for Truth, answers to questions, and are looking forward to the Lord’s return their whole lives- not just when they think it is about to happen.
And this is bigger than any church or denomination affiliation. This is a reflection/ restoration of the True Church, the Body of Christ that knows no geographical limitations, no denominational limitations etc.; it is the conglomerate of human souls living a Body Life taught in the Bible based on relationships with God and each other. This is precisely what was modeled for us in the Bible but this is NOT what we have become. And what we have become (as ‘christians’ fortunate to live in the country that used to be the leader of the free world) has allowed us to get to this point. So we must first acknowledge responsibility and then DO SOMETHING about it.
Starting with being informed (“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” –Hosea 4:6a) and then forming groups of informed individuals. You can become informed about the Bible at your own pace by going to the HeartsOnFire Website:
There are Bible Studies to help teach you with everything you need to know about the Bible Chapter by Chapter.
I have been watching on the wall for the last 5 years and in my experience I have put the entire host of physical preparedness into 3 phases:
- Food and Water
- Homesteading (off-grid living)
- Security and Survival
So long as a majority of Americans share the Principles of God and work together to promote them, we only need to focus on Food and water for our families (assuming we still have a Constitution and Bill of Rights.) Should we lose our constitution and Bill of Rights afforded us by God Himself through our American Patriarchs- especially the first and second ammendments- we must be prepared for Homesteading (Without Rule of Law). And if our freedoms of Homesteading are threatened (the ability to grow our own food and prepare ourselves for natural disaster) or are taken away, THEN it would be time for alarm. Right now there is no time for alarm, except for responding to the threat. We MUST respond to the THREAT against the Principles of God in order to remove ourselves from the equasion of having to prepare for anything else. Therefore our mission is clear- STAND UP for the Principles of God or wait for the consequences. Selah.
